Kenneth Robinson, MD, MHCM, FACEP, FACPE
Chief, Department of Emergency Medicine at Hartford Hospital
Dr. Kenneth Robinson is Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hartford Hospital and he leads the Emergency Medicine Council for Hartford HealthCare. In addition, Dr Robinson is Treasurer of the Medical Staff at Hartford Hospital and he previously co-led the Hartford HealthCare Health and Wellness Committee
Dr. Robinson has worked at Hartford Hospital for the last 25 years. Prior to becoming Chief of the Dept. of Emergency Medicine, he served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department and Medical Director and Program Director for the LIFE STAR helicopter program. He has held a number of national leadership positions and has served on many committees locally, at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and nationally.
Dr. Robinson has a special interest in clinical operations, patient experience and clinician health and wellness.
Dr. Robinson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed an Emergency Medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center. He completed a Masters in Health Care Management at Harvard. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Physician Executives and a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
